Local Window Service Inc ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through local-window-service.com, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our quote form, call, or text us, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code or town, a description of your window problem, and photos of your windows.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting provider records standard technical data such as your browser type, device, pages visited, the website that referred you and your IP address. We also use the Google tag for website analytics, described below.

Spam protection. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real visitors from automated spam. To do this, Turnstile processes limited technical information from your browser and device, such as your IP address and browser characteristics. This information is handled by Cloudflare under the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Maps. The map on our service-areas page loads map images from OpenStreetMap and the open-source Leaflet map library from cdnjs (Cloudflare) when you scroll to it. Like any website loading content, those services receive your IP address and browser information. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

Website analytics (Google tag)

Our website uses the Google tag (gtag.js), a tool provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, what device and browser are used, roughly where visitors are located (based on IP address), and how visitors reached us.

When you contact us through the website, the tag may also record that a form was sent or a phone link was tapped, so we can tell which pages help people get in touch. It doesn't send us your name, phone number or the content of your messages.

The Google tag uses cookies and similar technologies, and the information it collects is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. Google explains how it uses information from websites that use its services here.

You can limit this tracking at any time: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or manage how Google personalizes ads in your Google ad settings. Blocking these cookies doesn't affect your ability to use our website or contact us.

How we use your information

• To respond to your questions and prepare quotes.
• To schedule and carry out repairs you request.
• To send you invoices and warranty information.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it (see Website analytics).

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Photos you send us

Photos are used to diagnose your windows and prepare a quote. Requests sent through our form, including photos, are emailed to us and kept on our website’s server so we can respond; photo files are stored under unguessable names. We will not publish photos of your home without your permission.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate — for example, website hosting, email and phone services, spam protection (Cloudflare) and website analytics (Google) — and only as needed to provide our services, or when required by law. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies needed for the website to work and analytics cookies set by the Google tag (see Website analytics above). Our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) may also use technical information from your browser to tell real visitors from bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work without analytics cookies.

Do Not Track. Browsers handle “Do Not Track” signals differently and there is no common standard for them, so our website doesn't respond to them. You can use the opt-out options above instead.

Data retention

We keep customer information for as long as needed to provide services, honor warranties and meet legal and accounting requirements.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by calling or texting (224) 209-0862 or using our contact form.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
